Default getting heat through the drivers side floor

Just curious if this is a issue with discos. I noticed that heat is coming up from the floor or somewhere on the drivers side after driving for a bit. I have checked to make sure the ac is set to cold incase the air is still coming out of the vents but thats not it. No heat coming from the pass side floor.

Is it coming thru the floor vent or is it come thru the floor from the exhaust?

If theres a floor vent than that would prob be it. Theres no exhaust smell, just warm air.

It won't be an exhaust smell/leak. Either you have a heat meal shield missing allowing the heat to radiate thru the floor or a floor vent is stuck, trying turning on the a/c for a minute then turn it off and see if the heat goes away.

Come to think of it after turning the ac on to check if the heat was on and turning it back off i didnt really notice heat afterwards but not 100% sure. Ill have to try it next time. If the heat goes away what will that mean?

just for reference: you know there is no heater control valve on a disco so you will either have heat or cooling coming out of your vent even when off.
The reason I ask is this comes up every spring, even when off it will still try and put out the last temperature it was set at.
personally I hit the ecno button and set my temps close to OAT, that shut off the compressor and only uses outside air.

Yeah, thats why I was setting the temp at the coolest temp in case it was set at hot. My Mini does the same thing. But even at cold I still feel hot air around my legs. Also its just the drivers side and not the pass side.
