Water on drivers side floor
Did it smell like coolant? Could be a leaking heater core, could be a plugged a/c drain, could be a leaking windshield. If it is the heater core, you will probably, but not necessarily, smell coolant. If it is a plugged a/c drain, get under the truck, on either side of the transmission housing, protruding from the bottome of the chassy floor, there are two drain stubs, they are black, about 3 or 4 inches long and are pinched at the bottom. Do a search on this forum and you will find threads with pictures. Try cleaning those out. Be careful, if they are plugged, you may get a face full of rotten fluid coming out when you open them up. We had a windshield replaced recently and during heavy rains found that they passenger side floor is getting wet. It is coming down from behind the glove box. We also have a wind noise that we didn't have before. Someone else may have some other suggestions, but those are easy places to start. Good luck. Phil
Had my windshield replaced and started getting water into cabin. Found that when they pulled the windshield it separated the metal at the top of the windshield enough to let water come in. Also check the rain rails at top corners of windshield, they crack just like the Fords did. This is another place where water can enter.
Just a comment: coolant leak from the heater core would only be on the passenger side.
Wet driver's floor could be a windshield leak, sunroof leak, blocked a/c drains or the driver pee'd himself.
If you have wind noise check that the windshield plenum (the large plastic trim in front of the windshield) is fitted properly and flush with the windshield - ask me how I know. Also check that the trim pieces on the sides of the windshield are properly installed and flush.
