The sun roofs not working is par for the course, they are now skylights, $1200 each to repair.
The exhaust leak could be a exhaust manifold, which is normal. A muffler shop can weld it shut, that fix will last for a long time and is cheap, or it could need a new exhaust.
No the frames are not aluminum, the body is. All of the body panels on a DI are aluminum, the roof is steel.
On DII's the doors and roof are steel.
