Gonna blow it up
I cannot figure out why it just putters and sputters. And doesn't want to go when I push on the gas pedal?I replace the coil packs. The spark plugs the wires the maf censor. The fuel pump spit out fuel all over the back seat when I took it out and turned it on with it not connected. So it seems to have pure pressure. I've put injector cleaner in it . next. Step is dynamite in the tank. Unless Somebody can help me
Did you scan for any codes? Did you remove the fuel pressure from the system before disconnecting the fuel pump? Does it idle okay, but sputters when you give it any gas? Is the fuel pump new? Old pumps or dying fuel pumps can usually maintain idle, but can't keep up when you give the vehicle any throttle input.
@Voclcords1 You can not test fuel pressure that way,you need to check at the fuel rail.
As @Best4x4 said do you have any codes you need to start there.

- Next pull the air box lid and start that way, do you still sputter ?
- Now pull the entire air intake from the air box to throttle body, make sure there are no obstructions, mice, rats squirrels or nests
- Start up with the air intake off, and manually move the throttle cable at the throttle body, watch the movement of the butterfly valve is it clean and smooth when it moves
- If you are still sputtering you need to get your fuel pressure check correctly
Cylinders 1,4,6 and 7 are all on the same drivers side coil. If you are absolutely certain that coil is new and the wires are not mixed up, there might be a wiring issue to the wire that connects to that specific coil.
