Is this a good deal on an '03 Disco?
This past weekendvisited the local LR dealership (largest in the country) and found a '03, Discovery SE, Certified (means it has gone through 140 pt. check, blah blah) and would come with a "bumper to bumper" 'til Nov. '06 and then an additional 12 months (Nov. '07) of warranty...on all major items (a/c, tranny, etc.). So, warranty wise it is pretty safe.
List is $30,550, and it has approx. 22,500 miles. It's super clean, interior is good, small scratch on rear tail light area.
I can lease for $313 monthly for 48 months
I can buy for prob. $28,900 with some goodies thrown in (running boards, cargo mat, trailer hitch cover)
I can finance the whole thing for about $615 monthly
**I like to change cars quite often, so the lease, albeit cheap, scares me a bit for a 48 month commitment***
What is a fair "flat out" fair purchase price?

DIMISA1977, I work in the automobile industry in south Florida. I hope this information helps you. In the March 15th Black Book under clean condition a 2003 Discovery SE lists for $24200. There are adds for duel ac (650), navigation (700), performance pkg (1000). I paid $15000 for my 2001 Discovery SE with 43000 miles (but I work in the bus.).
