Default Grease centering ball

Will someone tell me what to buy to grease my centering *****? I have newish GBR HD drive shafts and there is a tiny fitting that just looks like a hole with a ball bearing in the end . I got a "needle fitting" from the local parts store for my grease gun that is about 2 inches long and just looks like a long syringe . I've poked it into the hole but I don't feel like I am doing any good . I have double cardans front and back and feel like I'm not being a good Rover owner .

I went to advance auto and got the grease gun and a grease tube. I just found out that you have to loosen the end of the grease hose, fit that on the nipple and tighten it before you squeeze the trigger. I have the same heavy duty GBR shafts from a while back.
I did not use the long syringe just insert the metal end of the hose and lock it.

To grease a low profile zerk you do use a needle fitting, but one with a larger angle tip. It's wide enough to cover the ball bearing in the fitting. You can get them at Napa, AZ, Advance Auto( #LIN5803) McMaster Carr, etc or online. They also come in different lengths.

Wow! . Overwhelmed with the quick responses. Thank you! I'll let you know how it goes.

A seal-off needle fitting will also work for grease plugs/low profile zerks. These come in different lengths and diameters too.

When you pump the gun, if grease immediately comes out at tip/ball valve it's likely not going in the fitting. Sometimes the ball/check valve gets stuck closed and poking with a scribe or pick will free it to open. You probably remember having the same issue with a stuck grease nip/ball is sticking when it all comes out of the gun fitting. Other times grease tip is too large or too small to seal well.
