Grounding problem
This morning I turned my headlights on and I didn't have any instrument lights for about a couple of seconds and then they kicked on. After thinking about it for a while I remembered about a week ago when I was under the hood there was a loose nut that holds the negative terminal that comes off the battery. I looks like there are three different sets of negative studs that are behind the battery. It is the one furthest to the right. Well when I went to tighten the stud snapped. I rigged it with some zip strips untill I fix it. Does anyone think this may be the reason or if it could be something else. Also when turning on the blinkers latelythey pause before theyactually start working. But this seems to be an off and on thing. Any thoughts would help. Thank you.

Just grind the stud flat neatly, drill a hole through it and fit some ring terminals to the wires, and use a nut and bolt to secure them, probably a 10 mm, or 3/8 would be ideal.
You could even grind it flat, drill a hole and fit a bolt and nut each side of the plate and make your own stud to secure the terminals onto
And yes if those are the grounds for the systems you are having "issues" with, then if they are not tight it could give the symptoms you describe.
