Default Handling / Skidding

Has anyone else had prolems with handling? Recently I've noticed the car was sliding sideway around a couple of corners. I put it down to ice and thought no more of it. Last night however, I turned a corner (not fast) and the car went completely out of control and took me a while to bring it back under. It's a TD5 ES 02 plate and I've never experienced this before. Tyres are all good, I just wondered if it could be the traction control or diff lock sticking ??? Any ideas?

Thanks,

JP

What tire pressure are you running? I doubt it is being caused by the ETC or T/C, you would have a warning light showing.
I bet you are having a tire problem.
Whatever you find let us know.

Thanks for the reply. The tyres are good, the front ones are only a couple of months old and the rear ones are very good. I'll check the pressures. It's weird as with the ACE it usually corners like a cart. It doesn't seem to be swaying but it just feels edgy around corners, no warning lights but the T/C didn't cut in when it slid, not sure if it would in those circumstances.. I'll check the pessuresand see what happens.

Cheers,

JP

There really isn't any other thing that should cause what you are experiencing.
I still a thinking tire, like a separated tread, may want to have them inspected off the vehicle.
Run the air pressure up to 35 in the front and 40 in the rear, see if there is any difference.
You might want to check all your lug nuts to make sure you are not about to loose a wheel.
