Drove the new 03 last evening and notice the shifter was difficult to move...and make strange sounds.

Pulled up shifter housing...and...next months house payment was retrieved...lol.



Actually, l believe a 50 state collection of quarters is well underway.

Anyhow, if you have a stiff shifter...you may want to investigate.

When I bought my first Disco I noticed it wouldn't shift into 1st gear. Many months later I found a dime in the shifter that was bent into an L shape preventing shifting into 1st.

I keep a pickle jar in my garage for all the change I find in junkyard cars and the rovers that I bring home. Latest find was a Susan B Anthony dollar

 

That's funny....I found a ton of change in my console when I did my CDL linkage.

 

 

I will also admit to finding a crack pipe in a truck I bought for parts - Drove it home after I bought it, found the pipe later. Sure glad I didn't get pulled over on the way home!

 

behind and under various consoles on my two trucks i have found golf tees, a hair weave, a child's swimming arm-float, plenty of loose change... and a condom. used. REALLY happy that i wear gloves when i work.
