Reviving this old thread
ACAMATO- I am experiencing the same problems you were. Thank you for posting this thread, as I cut open the wrapping and discovered the same corrosion. My only problem is, and I am feeling like quite the dunce on this, is how do you open the connectors? They look pretty straightforward, but I have been wrestling with them forever, and can't seem to get them open.

Have since gotten into two of the three. They're so heavily corroded that they basically have frozen together. I have been able to clean them out a bit but still not getting current and lost the cigarette lighter! Drats. It's looking like I might need to replace the connectors but theyre discontinued, correct? Guess I'll be praying Paul has them.

This might just save me
Hi ive been looking for someone that does LR connectors, as ive just become a Discovery 3 Owner and found a few electrical gremlins, the biggest is the Big Door connector as pictured below, it looks like it had water ingress and completely shorted it so its now melted and some of the wires are melted off so needs replacing. Then ive stumbled on this thread and thought someone could help me find one of these connectors so i can re-wire it, and get my door working again. The only other option i can find is to buy a complete wiring loom from ebay at cost of between £100-£200 but then all i need is that one connector, so not the best. If anyone can help me here i would be super appreciated.
You could contact Paul Grant for some used headers, or me for new ones
