Like the title says. Has anybody ever fixed the tick without replacing the engine? If so what was done? Oil pump? Rod bearings? Mains? Camshaft? Or all of the above? I have the dreaded tick and need to get rid of it. Unfortunately i cannot replace the engine. i was planning on doing a complete overhaul but am worried it wont fix the problem. need some advice guys.

I have been chasing the same tick. New oil pump, lifters/pushrods/rocker arms/rocker arm shaft, new rod bearings and new main bearings have not fixed the issue. Still have low oil pressure at hot idle and the dreaded tick.

Anyone have suggestions for a supplier for a remanufactured or new engine?
