A fair price especially if they are Rover mechanics and they guarantee their work.
Have you already replaced your wires, if not put some 8mm silicone wires on along with a new t/stat, coolant pressure cap, newer designed upper radiator hose and switch away from Dexcool going to one of the other, better yellow or green coolants like spike.
Also have them add a bottle of Water Wetter to the coolant system.
