Default head gaskets done, minimal coolant loss...

So I just bought my truck, an 02 se7.....literally stole the truck for 3500....has some minor issues.

The guy i bought it of got with leaky head gaskets, repaired them, then put it up for sale. I have proof of the work done, now for the odd stuff.

Minimal coolant loss the day i bought the truck, drove it 200 miles home....nothing too much, bout and inch down from cold mark after i parked it and checked it the next day. My guess, the turkey didnt know how to bleed the system correctly, as he openly told me his local mechanic did the work, very reliable but something like that who knows. So i topped it off and did as spike told me, started the truck with the heat on hi from cold, with the coolent cap off, let idle till hot. Then topped off and replaced cap. two days later a little less low this time, but still lost a bit on the coolant level. This time i opened the bleed valve until coolant came out, and let idle on high with cap off, opened bleed valve again to make sure. Drove the car hard, didnt seem to move........any thought? should after these steps have been taken i not continue to lose coolant? I would say i should not be having to top up every couple days, so we will see what the level does.

any thoughts on why i would lose coolant after a head gasket job was just done under 1000k ago, and its NOT going out my tailpipe, because when i got it i had the waterfall behind the dash etc, ALOT of air in the system. This should be the end of my troubles unless im missing something, i checked the connections at the throttle body, upper lower hoses and at the bottle. The only thing i can see is that there is some coolent dripping from the overflow tube at some point while driving, because there were wet drips below the tube end on the frame and such, im talking about hte one coming from the coolant bottle next to theother tube that connects to the engine.

The last description you gave was the proper way to bleed a D2. It takes a few times if you just fill up the reservoir.

Is it still loosing coolant? Head gaskets can seep sometimes, but you may have another issue.
