Default Headlight Conversion

Hi All

Does anyone know what is involved in converting the early Disco2 headlights to the later twin
headlight. Is the conversion possible? it looks like a direct(ish) replacement for the headlight
and indicator but hopefully someone out there has already done it.

I have the instructions in a zip file. Give me your e-mail address and I will send it to you. Not sure if it is the same as the one on e-bay, but it is detailed and gives you the parts wou will need. I have sent it to several people, but haven't heard back from anyone that has done it. I think it is kinda pricey to do cause the headlights are so high.

Let me know if you want it..

Thanks for that, email is paulhhastings@gmail.com

It will be interesting to see the conversion details. It may be quite a price unless I can
get some second hand lights.

Couldn't find the lamps on Ebay but will keep looking.

Here is a guy who's selling a pair on Ebay.

Thanks for the ebay links, I'd probably buy them except that I'm back in Scotland. I'll
try and find the same on ebay back here.

The advert says that they won't fit on my 2000 Disco 2 but I'm sure they can't be too
far away from fitting.

This conversion is still on my list of things to do. The most expensive part of it are the headlights themselves. That said, you can find quite a bargain on eBay if you look. I paid under $200 for mine, if I remember correctly. Ant that was America DOT-approved ones. The conversion is quite possible, but not as easy as for you to do it in you own garage. Not unless you're good with a grinder, 'cause the job requires removing metal from where your pre-03 headlights bolt on. I also have instructions which I paid $50 for on eBay. They're not so great, there is no pics, which is what I thought there will be. I'd be happy to exchange instructions if anyone who's interested. The molding parts that go underneath the headlights cost around $55 in the stealership, possibly less else where, though I couldn't find any. I'm planning to do the conversion this month perhaps, but I will pay someone else to do it, too much of a job for me.
