I painted mine

Just took a plastic trim piece to HD and had them match me up a gallon of interior paint

 

I myself had tears and damage in the headliner when I removed mine I ended up using some fiberglass resin with a few pieces of cloth and it made it tougher than the original material was. ended up using rubber coat to do my interior roof and it has held up for a few years now
