Default Headliner patch

I pulled my headliner board out of my truck, stripped off the fabric and cleaned off the foam.I painted it with chalkboard paint(Took this from another thread on here),it looks great except for one small problem. The sun roof in my truck was either not done at the factory. The headliner didn't have the plastic trim around the sun roof, the fabric was tucked in to a trim piece in the actual sunroof. So now I have an unsightly cutout around my sun roof.Any suggestions on how I can patch my headliner board?I will post some pics tomorrow.

Are you missing a trim piece or is the hole just cut too large?

It looks like you're kinda screwed with that headliner. Maybe try to fill in the missing part with some 1/4" ply, or get another headliner.

Yeah,I think I am going to have to come up with something custom.Getting a new headliner would be great, but I would have to find 1 locally with no sun roof cut outs.I think it would be a pain to ship a new headliner, too big and too fragile.

My Disco has every option in it except for factory sun roofs and third row.Did a lot of 99 Disco's come like this?Or am I gonna have a hard time finding a used headliner with no sunroof cut outs.I stopped at the dealership today to get a new clock bulb($6) and parts guy said about $450 for a new headliner board.I think I can come up with a cheaper fix than that.

The base models did not have sunroofs, at least some of them. I did see quite a few of them when I was shopping for a Disco. I know where you can get one out of a 2003 S with no sunroofs, but it's down here in Florida.
