Use carb cleaner and if that does not work try brake cleaner, just be careful with the brake cleaner around plastics.

Then why isn't BP on the toptiergas.com list, which is specifically recommended by Audi, BMW, and probably others.

Maybe BP does not want to pay to have their gas tested?
I think that all the brand need to pay for their own testing, I know that all car manufactures have to pay for their own crash testing.
They have to crash 3 of every model and then they average the 3 test results.
Granted all 3 should perform the same.
