I just had a heated windshield put in and bought switch for console. I pulled the blank switch and hooked up wires in new switch. The light will not come on the switch and it is not working. Does anyone have any ideas?

For a D2, here is the schematic. If you had never had heated front screen before, I would expect you might need some of the relays, and the Body Control Unit will need to be programmed to expect a heated front screen. Option are "Fitted" or "none".

 

BCU needs to be programmed for the heated screen, also make sure the relay is there first.
