It shouldn't have changed at all. The miles are stored in the cluster and BCU and he changed the ECM.

At one point the OP was going to change the BCU too. Regardless of that the cluster change only could have caused a change in the odometer.

min01, the mileage still stays as long as you don't change the BCU or Cluster. With the Nanocom, you can sync the mileage with the system IF there is an issue though. When I swapped I didn't have an issue, the mileage stayed with the original.

Hi CLINT70, I'm grateful and excited I've found a member near by with a nanocom. He will help in reprogramming my new (used) ECU. I was hoping you could run through the step by step on what you did.

1- disconnect battery
2- remove old ECU ??? or not?
3- ?
4- ?
5- ?

Thanks for any help. I just don't wanna waist this guys time.

So...I went through all the steps and when I got to "learn security code" it came back saying "learn security code function terminated"???? no idea what that means. Another member also suggested disabling the immobilizer function and the truck will work. I'll try and report back.

Need ECU BCU and IC off a junked truck. Even if the dealer can fix it will be big boo coo bucks. Thousands of dollas.
