Forget about the Dealer, they'll tell you that you need a new engine for $11,000.

If you want to take it somewhere only go to a Land Rover specific independent shop who ONLY works on Rovers and nothing else.

Not a foreign or import car shop.

Otherwise, take one problem at a time and do the major service, it obviously has been neglected and will need all of the major service anyway.

Oh, and HAVE FUN!!

So I have to drive it even though I erased the codes with my scanner? Will the light come on and then after driving go back off if its fixed? Thanks.

Rover-specific shops are few and far between. Best I have access to in St Louis area is a British car specialist, and they drained me for $3K because they knew what order to check things so that the actual problem was IDd/eliminated last. I actually have better luck at a local import specialist with a good rep. Bottom line, no one is going to care for your Rover like you! Do the research (RAVE, Forum, etc), pull codes and eliminate everything you can so that if you have to resort to a mechanic, you'll know if they are taking advantage of you (Specialist), or just don't know what they're doing (general mechanic).

Scans are free at Autozone, O'Reilley and many other auto parts stores.

$15 dongle and an app for your phone

$65 Ultragauge.

Dealer is BS.

Hi, you must have a record there, I've never seen so many codes thrown by a single vehicle, I think I counted 15!!.

However, many of those codes were inter-related and if you clear one issue it may clear one or more codes. It sounds like many sensors are either duff or there are issues. If I were you, I'd start with a major service as has already been suggested which no doubt eliminate many codes and then prioritise the codes and work through them one at a time. Each time you do work on a code issue, erase all of the codes rerun the truck and see what comes back and then keep repeating the rectification and erasure process until they are all sorted. Good luck.

Looks like you have 2 bad O2 sensors, a dodgy camshaft position sensor, a fault with the secondary air pump valve, a dodgy MAF, etc.

I would change the position sensor and the O2 sensors, see how it runs. Maybe the MAF can be cleaned?

Thanks for all the input. I have an actron scanner and I think it shows real time data, but only say fault or no fault. Definitely compression check,to make sure engine is sound, then plugs and wired, and all four o2 sensors? Or should I replace one o2 at a time and see if its just one of them. Can sensor is 271.00 at a local auto parts place. 02 sensors are 75. Each for upstream and 65. Each for downstream., plugs autolite iridium xp are 5.99 each, inter motor spark plug wires are 61.99 set, mass is 139.99. Any place to get these cheaper?
