Help!! Loud ticking!! Weird

Well, that's noise, but perhaps you could narrow it down a little more. This could be something besides the oil pump.
In addition to searching for the noise with a stethoscope (parts store) or a listening stick, you could test each pulley or item that turns.
1. Remove the serpantine belt. That physically disconnects all the devices.
2. Crank truck. If noise is gone, it is one of the pulleys or idler wheels or devices that rotate.
3. If noise is still there, all the things run by belt have been eliminated and it is time to do oil pump test. Noise could be valve train and lifter running on low oil pressure.
4. If noise is not there when cranked without belt, turn off truck. Turn each thing that rotates by hand, listening and feeling for any roughness. Could be alternator bearing, water pump bearing, air conditioning compressor clutch, idler pulleys, power steering pump bearing.
If can't be sure of a noise maker, re-attach belt, paying attention to the route. See route in link below.
With belt back on, triple check route. Crank truck, if noise returns check things with a stethoscope or listening stick.
How about posting your results?
