So we possibly have lift off.

I got down to re-bleed the brakes today. Looked at rear calipers and holy crap, the bleed nipple was at the bottom. I knew all along that the fronts were correct but with the size of the rears and how the bleed screws at bottom are only about an inch and half lower than if proper, it just created the illusion that they were installed correctly. Not to mention, I did those back in April along with shocks and hubs, so I just assumed all along that I did them correctly.

In the middle of a thunder storm so the test drive will have to wait an hour or so but the pedal was positive with engine running.

On the bonus side, I was also able to fix the brake light switch that had been pushed too far in.

And I also found what I hope is the final leak in the AC when I went in to replace the dryer and found the dryer hose to junction at H side also had a leek when it runs back to go underneath the air filter box.

Big thanks to all that responded! I will report back later today with test drive results.

 

We have brakes!!!!

Installing the rear calipers solved the issue. Stupid I know, but with all the parts installed it was just an oversight.

Needs a new brake light switch. That one is tango uniform.

Alignment tomorrow.

Grab yourself the new style brake switch from Auto Zone. It's like 17.00 and it's the newer style. It'll have a wiring adapter and the newer style switch. Glad you got it figured out

Yeah, but she was good to me while she lived. Bought her for 500 bucks and put a trans/y-pipe and front shaft on her and drove it 37K, trouble free. If l'd not have drowned her so bad, during a Ohio off road trip, she's still be around.



Glad you got the brakes straighten around. That location, high pressure line where it runs through radiator mounting structure...is a pretty common area for leakage, especially where it is clamped to structure. 3 out of the 4 Dll's l've owned leaked there.

I'm glad you came back and finished this topic, following through on repair/cause...it will hopefully help others that walk in your footsteps.

Yeah, just kept reading his issues over and over again and the calipers just kept coming to mind. I'm just glad l was able to help out and he's on the road to success, and l'm glad he came back and finished the topic with found issue/repair...because...this will most likely not be the last time this happens.
