k checked the atf a little low so toped it off. looks kinda brown so probaly need a flush but still nothing different. had battery tested and it is showing about 12.4 volts which is kinda low so i hooked my buddies battery up and still nothing. any ideas. could it be that my atf filter is clogged?

Usually, when a ATF fluid is brown, and perhaps smells like burned coffee pot left on the stove; it is the clutch discs particles in suspension. And you won't be moving forward without a rebuild. Time for an indy tranny shop to look at it; or if you have slavage yards nearby, a used one. Keep in mind most Discos in the boneyard are there because of blown engine.
