Default Help removing D2 Hi-lo Cable

I'm in the process of installing a D1 Hi-Lo shifter to gain CDL function on my 2000 D2. I'm waiting on my D1 Hi-Lo linkage so I don't have to bend it into place, so no rush. Console is out, all things are smooth except....

How do I remove the existing D2 hi-lo cable? (see picture). It wraps basically from where the hi-lo shifter is, around towards the passenger side, back along top of the TC, and to the hi-lo linkage. There is a 10mm nut in the top-center of the picture way under the tunnel holding the cable (just left of where the blue wire terminates), and another "sandwich" near the bottom right of the picture for adjustment. I'm PB blasting the sandwich to help with removal, but how do you get to the 10mm nut?? Or, do I just cut the cable and leave it in place since it's just dead weight?

Edit- Not sure why but the forum has the picture upside down. Not sure how to fix that. Sorry!

I dont recall removing those nuts, i wanna say there is some bolts holding down the plate that it is attached too....so the plate comes off with the cable, i think... went out to the garage to take a look at my old cable but just remembered i threw it in the trash last week...if you were a week sooner!

I just tie wraped mine out of the way and tie wrapped the ends together.
