So after realizing that a pair of Hella 4000's weren't going to fit on the stock brushguard, I purchased a set of 7" HID's from Kragen. Compared to the $670 per light for the Hella version, these were only $120 (on sale). The ballast is inside the lamp housing and came with a wiring harness. The PO installed the factory fogs (also by Hella) and used both the factory fog switch and the one included with the Hella wiring harness. The switch is right next to the side mirror adjuster switch and illuminates green when on. The wires were routed next to the ones for the cb and passed through the same grommet by the brake pedal to get inside. The battery clamp had to be trimmed after getting the Optima Blue Top. The clamp is just wide enough to touch the aux terminal posts.

 

I taped them off at first but knew something had to be done when I wanted to use them.
