Did this same repair about a year ago. My problem was a blown fuse and a siezed fan (the fuse will blow because of this). I followed the steps in the write up listed except I got a used fan from Paul Grant and I didnt remove the hood latch to get that top screw, I was able to remove with a wrench and get it back in by hand which took a few tries. Have you replaced you replaced your tstat with the genuine 180 version? Best thing you can do for your engine.
