Exclamation A hole ruined my disco

Last month the radiator guy put chemicals in my radiator without my consent. I have drained and replaced the radiator and coolant twice. The oil stunk to high... I replaced that and the filter drained the trans fluid too. I still cant get rid of this annoying irritating acid fumes after I drive it I put lucas in the tank seems to help but it seems to get worse with time. Gone throught 2-3 tanks of gas already. The exhaust smells bad too. Thanks

P.S. my radiator was plugged but the guy put chemical in it instead of fixing it. Beware

I'm sorry, but how could coolant chemicals cause the oil to smell bad? Why did you need to replace the transmission fluid too? A good steam clean of the engine might be in order... as well as taking the engine to a shop to have it completely flushed, ensuring none of the chemical remains in the system (not the same shop of course ).

What did you take the truck in for originally? Did you have hole in the radiator that he tried a sealant on? What chemicals did the mechanic put in? I'm with Scott and confused how chemicals in the coolant system would make the oil and especially transmission fluid stink. If chemicals from the cooling system are going into the oil your engine is pretty much shot. If chemicals from the cooling system are getting into the transmission you have truck that's a freak of nature. Coolant and ATF don't ever cross paths.

I had Fluid running down the side of the radiator and it was developing more leaks and overheating on hot days 80 deg. or so.I even jb welded it , waste of time because the rad was mush on the front beware you overheaters. I brought it in on a 90 deg day and HE said it wasnt overheating. Doofus. Beats me how that stuff got all over.

So you have a brand new radiator, and still have leaks? If so, check your hoses. I would not drive a vehicle that was overheating, unless it were an emergency. You might do permanent damage to the engine, if you haven't already. Also what year is your rover and how many miles are on it?
