Homemade strap wrench for front crank pulley
I don't want to hear any crap about me tapping the starter last year to loosen my front crank bolt.
I re-tightened with 150# torque wrench + 90deg. by blocking the crank with a 2x4 while I had the pan off.
My starter lasted a few good mos. after that & has been replaced, thank you.
So, this time, I took an old spare serp belt, slipped it through an 18" piece of 1-1/4" galv
pipe, put the big loop around my harmonic, the slack end vice-gripped, and loosened the bolt w/ease
so there
luck,greg

I wouldn't mind at all, except I've tried probably 10 times here & elsewhere & the picture fairy won't let me.
I tried with: electric fans, sludge & old gaskets in oil pan, oil, temp, volt gauge install,
difflock R&R, new rollers(stainless) window regs, headlight switch rebuild, etc.
It asks for a url or some damned thing.
I'm old & have little patience left for non-mechanical things
luck,greg
