Default Hood black outs

Anyone have ever applied the black out decal on the faded hoods on Disco 2

Lots have. Myself, I taped off and bed lined a blackout onto my wheeling rig.

Yep. I've done it a few times. Best blackout (not super cheap tho) is by a company called Crawlorado. Google em

I've done it twice.

Make sure you get the version it is actually cut out.

Some versions have the lines but they are not cut.

Much easier to apply the version that is cut out.

I got one from Lucky8 a few years ago, I think it is 3M. But still looks good and the truck is never in a garage.

Yes, I did it with some black vinyl, a razor, and lots of blue painter's tape. I agree with Keninnc - save yourself the hassle and get a precut version.

Default 2001 discovery 2 will be for sale

Just installed a 2" suspension lift. 4 new shocks and the steering damper. Installed a steel front bumper with LED lights.
will be installing a new 285/75r16 tires on factory wheels
This vehicle has Never been off road. Just changed the windshield. New 3 year battery. New relocation coil kit installed. Thinking about doing a hood black out since hood is fading

Wow, your D2 is looking mean green! Pretty sure you need 3.5" or more lift to run 285/75r16 without rubbing. I also have 2" lift and run 235/85r16 MT for trail runs and 245/75r16 AT for daily driver usage.

I'll probably go with 265/75R16
not a bad looking D2 for 23 years old. Honestly my wife drove it for 22.5 years. Waiting on the 2024 4 Runner to come out.
That's her next one
