Default Hood and Roof Vinyl Wrap

As most of you guys probably know, D1s and D2s have clear coat fade issues on the hood and roof. Mine hasn't started yet, but I want to catch it before it does. My plan is to vinyl wrap the hood and roof with a wrap that is a close match to the original paint (Java Black). What do you guys think? Repainting is also an option, but I am pretty sure that it's going to be more expensive. I did try plasti-dip, but I just didn't like the color of it because the black looked more like gray compared to the original paint.

Sounds like a good option to me. You could even do a clear UV vinyl wrap if you wanted to match even closer.

Thanks for telling me because I didn't even know that the clear wrap existing.

But my hood doesn't look that great. Lot of touch ups from stone chips, scratches, and other ugliness. Gloss black wrap is probably better for this.

On the other hand, the roof is in great condition. I am pretty sure that I will clear wrap that.
