Default horn goes off at 2:30AM...

Sound asleep to be roused at 2:30AM to the sound of the horn blazing... our disco. 03 series II unit. I had replaced both horn buttons with the OEM dimpled ones.
The springs came with the rig and broken tab ones. Don't know the history if the springs were the OEM ones or not. When I put the horn buttons in and replaced
the fuse under the hood I get hornage. But last nights arousing sound ....

I noticed that the left side button was WAY too sensitive. Like the contact was 99% ready to engage the horn and just lightly running a thumb over the button would sound
the horn. Can anyone get me some accurate measurements on the spring showing:

- height (uncompressed)
- width side-to-side (outer)
- width (inner diameter)
- guage of spring coil

thx.
Wendell

update...took the button on the left out, cleaned the contacts with some brake cleaner and reassembled it. Have a noticeable difference in the movement in the button this time.
before the button if you barely brushed it would sound the horn. Now it takes an actual push of the button to engage it. Hopefully this resolves it. My neighbors will be thankful.

Had the same happen once, about the same time. Delerium doesn't mix well with that much noise.
