Question How to diagnose injector ?

Hello. The scanner reports injector #5 failure. How to probe if pulses reach it, how to access the wiring, where is a check point to probe ? The intake has to be removed to check if connected firmly ?

I would remove it, put it on the bench with a 9V battery hooked up and test its spray pattern by shooting some injector cleaner through it. To do this I just got some vinyl tubing to fit over the injector inlet from Home Depot, insert the red tube thingy that comes with a can of injector cleaner on one end of the tube and filled the gap with epoxy (caulking might work too), and then was able to basically insert the other end over the injector, spray with injector cleaner while using wires connected to a 9V to tap open the injector. Does that make sense?

That being said, with how inexpensive a Bosch injector is, if I got that code I'd just replace it rather than go through the trouble of testing it. A Bosch 62643 is $35 at Rock Auto.

Or swap it with #3 and see if the code moves.
