Hello, I need to check the trans fluid level on my girlfriends 2000 Discovery. I did a search but couldn't find any info on where and how to check it. Also, if it is low, what type of fluid do I need to put in? Thanks very much.

With the truck level and the engine running crawl under the truck, there is a drain and fill plug on the side of the transmission, remove the fill/check plug, the trans fluid should come out of the hole.
If not then add Dexron III, you may need a fluid hand pump.
