Default Trans axel case fluid?

What type of fluid goes into the trans axel case on the right hand side? I pulled the plug by mistake and noticed the viscosity is not the usual 80w- 90 w that othertransfer casesrun.

Can't help you with that question but would let you know just in case, the tranny does not take regular ATF, it takes a special fluid take only dealers sell, may be the case for your transaxle also.

Thanks, yes I used the 402 fluid for the transmission. I noticed the debri in the transfer case was much higher than the transmission. I'm thjinking this is due to the breather hole location. It is much lower than the transmission breather and is at an upward 45 degree or so angle. Looks like dirt can just ride right down it. I placed a filter on it and the tranny breather.
