Don't know yet. Just fixed 02 sensor problem as well. About to go on a trip for the weekend. I'll post back what I get. So far the liners have quit slipping and my oil leaks have been drastically reduced. No con so far.

This idea is along the line of what I want to do. Just don't know how to. Just trying to see if I can get normal results out of a colder engine with the SES light off without a whole lot of work.

I'm going to follow this thread as it seems like a great idea. At least in California and other areas where it's not too cold. Although, maybe it would still run warm enough in cold areas since it would still keep at least 160 degrees.
I'm guessing the Thermostat you bought is not the right shape for a stock install? You have an adapter that you can change it out to others?
Any photos of your mod?

As for the thermostat SuperSport, I got the guidance from this site and the in-line thermostat mod thread. Did it a little different since I had just bought new hoses, thermostat and water pump just before I did this mod. Super easy. I originally didn't drill the thermostat. Bad idea. Takes too long for thermostat to get up to temperature. I then drilled 2 holes. Probably will go back with one. Seems like it could warm up a bit quicker.
