Yeah it must have been stuck from the suction with the oil between the lifter and rod. Bad luck on my part because when I took the lower intake off I had a real tough time repeating it again. So be warned, if you pull your push rods out make sure you give them a good twist and horizontal push as you pull up vertically
or you may be pulling your lower intake off when the lifter comes with it

Well I got it running again after a rough start (damn those spark plug wires I got are tough to get seated right). As expected it still misfires since I never actually fixed anything. Runs great until it hits operating temperature though. I haven’t driven it enough so no codes yet. So misfire when hot.... coils? O2 sensors don’t start reading until it warms up right? Doesn’t seem like anything mechanical since it’s fine for a while but guess I’ll wait for some codes. I’ll probably start a new thread now too

Did you look at your cam lobes? A wiped cam lobe would give you very poor running(could become worse when hot) and would allow lifters to be loose even when they are being acted on by the cam.

That's what I would suspect. What is compression numbers?

The cam lobes looked okay to me. I did notice when it was idling the misfire got worse when I turned all the accessories on. I got home, checked the codes and it showed a pending code for cylinder 3. So the misfire moved from 6 to 3 after switching the coils. Guess I have a weak coil here. I assume it’s a good idea to replace both of them?

I only do the bad ones. Based on the coil diagram, I think you are dead nuts on it being a coil, 6 moves to 3 when you flop the coils.
