Default how do you get the right front spring out???

Finally got my lift. Installed everything but the right front. The axle wont drop far enough to remove the spring. The front driveshaft is hitting the front crossmember so I can't force the axle down. Do I have to remove the crossmember or am I missing something obvious?

use the bottle jack as seen in the lucky 8 video.

my front drive shaft was hitting the crossmember as well but the spring finally came out. the drive shaft will "bend" a little, just dont go crazy and really force it. did you unhook the front sway bar?

I unbolted the driveshaft when doing my lift. It takes like 5 minutes and it sure beats bending it over the crossmember. Watch out for other things bending and stretching too if you use the bottle jack.

Drop the drive shaft.
Did you make sure to install the correct spring on each of the front corners so it doesn't lean?

Thanks for the replies, I ended up disconnecting the front driveshaft from the diff. I tried to take the crossmember off but the bolts are STUCK! I soaked them in penetrating oil for a day and still managed to round a bolt head off. Ive got some crossmember spacers on the way so I may need to cut the bolt heads off and devise another way to get the screws out.

Mike, the Rte springs aren't marked left to right but the measurement is the same on both sides. The Rte 2"spring s netted a 2.5" lift in the back and a 3 3/16 lift in the front. Exactly the same lift on both sides, Rte says they will settle a bit.

The truck looks great now, except the tires look too small. But it rides and drives beautifully.

The bad news is that I was sent the wrong shocks, (standard length), so they will be shipping some new ones out soon that are +3".

That may also be a mistake, who's shock are they talking about sending you, and be specific. There are only a few with the extended length and they can be real junk.
Measure from the ground to the bottom of the wheel well molding at all 4 tires and tell me the specs, you may not need extended shocks.

They sent me 60024 and 60025 ome sports, basically the same length as stock, they could send some procomps to replace since the ome extended lengths are on backorder, but he could send some bilstein 7100s for a bit extra, so I went for that. I've already driven it off-road and found it has less articulation than stock because the shocks aren't long enough. It drives great on the street though.

Measurements from ground to fender on stock 29s is 35 1/8 front and 34 3/4 rear.
