Default How to know fuse box is bad

the truck is randomly shutting down and will not start afterwards. I will hear a clicking coming from the under hood fuse box. If I bang it with a hammer, the ticking will stop and I can crank the truck for a while.

I isolated it to R9 which I think controls the ecu. When it starts clicking and I bang it it will stop and let the truck start and run for a while. I went to Advanced Auto and we found a relay that matched the specifications, but it did not fix the issue. (Maybe not a good idea to get a non specific relay?)

I pulled the entire fuse box. Is there a way to tell a fuse box is bad?

No advice on this? Everyone I am calling says they have had the fusebox on backorder for over 6 months.

Is there something to check on the fuse box and possibly repair?

pull the fuse box and look for possible breaks in the solder.

have you checked all the relevant grounds to be sure there is no corrosion and/or rust?

intermittent electrical issues are bitch to find and fix.

Hint: before you mess with the fusebox replace that questionable R9 relay with a known good genuine LR one...
