Mysterious A/C Problem
My A/C works intermittently. Checked all fuses and blower, all working fine. I found out that if I hit the engine fuse box once, the A/C blower dies and if I hit it again, it turns back on again. Somehow, when driving, it turns off if I hit a bump and I have to look for another bigger bump to turn it back on. Sometimes if I cant see a large bump or puddle for miles and miles I wont have A/C not until I stop and hit the engine fuse box with a screw driver handle. Theres no room to tie a big hammer on top of the fuse box. All fuses are good. I'm tired looking for bumps on the road to turn it back on. Please help!
What could be the problem? Is there something within that fuse box that need to be fixed? Are those yellow relays part of the A/C? Anyway to check this?

Hi, Cant find which relay is the one for the A/C system. The manual said those are for qualified techs only. Mike, About fuse box. Does it really fail? Never heard fuse box to fail. Whats in there anyway aside from fuses? Thanks again.
On mine 2000 Disco II if you take the cover off the fuse box under the hood on the paaenger side there were 2 small yellow relay's toward the passenger compartment. The front one is the relay for the A/C, the diagram on the box cover shows a snow flake, push down on it to see if it seats better. I had to move mine in and out a couple times, same with the connection at the pump. Good luck I hope it works.
