Oh! Almost forgot. You'll also need two more band clamps. You can use the two stock ones, but you need two more because if the coupling->pipe->coupling connections.

Alex, I like your style. Never being satisfied with "Status Quo", with the Disco. There should be a Sticky, called Mods by Alex. I am going to do this mod, when i get a chance, and am going with the blue, to match my blue plug wires. Keep on, keeping On.

Haha, I appreciate it Joe. Status quo is boring, gotta make things constantly better and different!

I know a lot of people swear by K&N, but people considering them should be aware of the trade-offs, i.e., more dirt in your engine.
K&N is one of the worst filters on the market for engine protection, which is the point of an air filter.
K&N Air Filter Review - Debunking the Myths (and why OEM is better)

Of course, if you think about it logically, for same sized filters anything that has less restriction is going to let more dirt through. You can't ignore physics.

alex!!! thanks for this write up!! got mine installed today ( got hose clamps after the pic was taken) man what a difference lol, no joke!!! with the headers and exhaust and now the intake!!!!!! man its alive!!!!

i added a sheet of aluminum to block the heated air from the air filter, still working things out but i plan on making a box and adding heat shield to it as well to isolate the fresh air and engine heated air .

Very nice!

I've slacked. Had to fix some other things and have all of the parts in my kitchen table. I suck.

Looks great, Jessee! I see yours came with a K&N sticker, too. Jealous. Mine had been swiped from the box so I didn't get one.
