Default How to remove the AC bracket shaft from the block

As the title says how to get this thing out, the 2 bolt turn against each other system ? Long shaft in the image

jam nut, one against the other, then you can turn it.

That, or heat it and use vice grips on the shank, away from threads.

Stud remover. I used it for removing manifold studs. Worked like a charm, no damage on thread.

Why remove it? I think I left it in place when I did my head gaskets. Or do you need to move it to a different head?

Thanks everyone 3 x 13mm nuts locked together and an hour of sitting with penetrating oil,before trying got it out nice and easy

I take them off and never put it back. Makes it much easier to replace the power steering pump.
