Default How's your Blower

HVAC Blower fan volume, I mean. Mine is very weak even on the highest setting. I've pulled the motor, cleaned the cage, and verified nothing is clogging the intake under the passenger dash. I have an endoscope and looked inside the plenum and all of the vents and can't find a reason for low volume. Any other suggestions or is this just inherent to the truck?

TIA

I find mine to be quite variable, but is there not a resistor that controls the fan speed ?

I have all speeds, just no volume. Best4x4, do you know of a seal kit number?

No I don’t think LR has a kit for it. I’ve seen them re-sealed with door/window foam with a sticky back on it. If you place your hand up by the windshield I guarantee you’ll feel cold air = leaky blower seals/flaps.

I think you can get to most of it just by pulling the center stack. Factory never sealed it 100%, so you won't get it sealed back 100%

Keep in mind the defrost vent flaps have holes so there is always some air going through the defrost outlets

Doesn’t the air enter via that filter mesh media in the hood area ? Check that area. Or maybe try a junk yard blower motor
