Kinda looks like you just went through a swamp. I agree with some of the others, to pull off this look you need to go all the way with the lift, winch, rack, bumper, etc.

Did you spray it on or roll it on? Did you remove everything or just tape everything up?

Tell us more about the process you used and how much prep and time it took.

My black D2 is having the same paint problems on the roof and hood, rest of the truck is in great shape.

I might do this to just the hood and roof on mine, I like it!

Yeah I agree that I need a lift, trail guards and a snorkel to complete the look. But hey it was just a start. Ill take some high res pics when I can. I spent about 200. Total for bed liner and supplies. I scuffed up the paint by hand with the pads they sent in the kit. Then taped it off. Its roll on herculiner. Took me and my brother in law about 4 and a half hours. I still need to do a second coat, the fenders and the rear bumpers. I finished one sides second coat before it got dark and that side looks awesome, you absolutely need two coats for proper coverage. The amount i've done so far was one gallons worth. Ill do the second gallon on,my day off. So far, in person and on this forum it has a real love it or hate it effect. I love it it looks way better in person. And on a sunny day it looks flat black with metallic flake

Default Did my bumpers...

But that's a bit too much for me. To each his own, though!

If you decide to take it out for a night on the town you could simply pressure wash the dirt away and give it a smooth coat of Armour All to bring back that new black luster.

NO MORE WAXING!!!!! Spray on and wipe off!!!
