Despite there many issues i really love my disco2.From its regal looks to the way it drives,sounds and even the smell of the interior makes me smile every time i get in it.Lately i feel the need to buy another one because they are getting scarce...........thoughts

 

Well, I'm new to the brand, and I've recently purchased a 1999 Discovery II as a daily driver. I really love these things and despite being utterly disappointed in my first month of ownership, I'm hoping to keep it long-term.

The Discos are all over the place here for $2500-3000, so I feel no need to start stock-piling them yet.

 

Murphy's Law section 589.4(a) - a second Disco shall provide the maximum opportunity for discovery of new repair costs by having issues with all systems not causing problems on the first vehicle.

 

The smell of that British leather is unlike anything else

 

I would suggest either getting an 04 HSE Disco OR an older Disco Series 1. That way you can get the feel for both trucks and how they evolved. Maybe appreciate their evolution more. Turn one into an off-road rig and keep other other as daily driver. Or what Buzz said always good to have a backup Disco with the same parts.
