Wow, thanks for that advice.

Going out to the beast to check it out now.

By fuse 2, do you mean the fuselink (the high amperage ones) or just fuse 2?

BTW, almost 400k miles on a Silverado is encouraging. I have a 2000 V6 with 220k miles that gets 20mpg+ while towing a dual axle trailer with carcass on it (I have 20 some odd "vehicles" that I occasionally haul around, sell-buy, etc., though I am reluctant to actually call them cars, as only about half of them run, so I prefer to say I have 20 odd "titles").

Yes, standard fuse #2 (15 amp I seem to recall), not the fuse link. That alone fixed a ton of my issues, but I still have a wiring short to trace down somewhere. I'm guessing you might as well.
Regarding the Silverado, it's nudging up to 500k quickly, with the original motor, t-case and diffs! Transmission #3 however. A word of advice (especially if you're towing), get a sizable tranny cooler, and keep the fluid topped off.

RVA, you sir are a steely-eyed missile man.

It was fuse 2 that was blown. So not the ECM. Whew.

All codes gone except for the P0102 MAF (known problem, new Bosch MAF sensor on the way) and a P1884 (not sure what that is, but better one new code than 18).

Thanks.

(BTW, my daughter just moved from the Fan in RVA to LA, Richmond is an awesome place, like what Austin was 20 years ago before it was "discovered)

So glad to hear that it worked! Additionally, from what I've read, the 1884 is just a generic "somethin' ain't right" error code. Once you replace the MAF and clear the 0102, the 1884 should disappear along with it.
Good luck, and keep us posted if they pop up again.

1884 gone, but my knock sensor code is back. I've replaced that coaxial connector but maybe my work wasn't that good or maybe the knock sensor failed (or I tightened down the KS too tight, shortening its life).

Thanks again for all your help. On to next issue(s).
