If the fluids are full and clean, you might also see if your fan clutch is OK. If you run the engine speed up to 2000 plus while in park, do you hear tyhe noise, if so the fan hub/clutch may be failing.
Just a thought.

With the taillights, take a small drill bit and drill a hole in the bottom of the lens, it will let the water drain out. And if you drill one in the top of the lens too it will allow the moister to evaporate.
I did that on my E-250 work van and it worked just fine. It was the front corner marker light, but same differance.
I would change the fluids in both diffs, t-case and transmission. And see if that helps the noise.Could be as simple as low on fluid.

Also, try jacking up each wheel and making sure it spins freely... could have broken pinion or ring too.

The only way I can describe the noise is it sounds like a time when I rode in a friend’s truck and he had those HUGE mud grip tires.
I have read in some other post that this could possibly be caused by the transfer case and that by replacing the fluid could resolve the problem. Any help would be much appreciated. What you think?

What was the outcome to your noise? My daughters 01 is doing the same thing.

Star a new thread so others don't have to read all the 3 year old stuff.
So start your own and be very specific as to exactly what it is doing, can it be driven have you checked your fluid for level, color and small?
Also what year is it and when were all the drive line fluid changed, tranny, diffs and t/case????
