Default I want to change the brake fluid, how ?

My truck (01 disco II) as 85000 miles, my brake light with the other 2 are on. the ABS is working. wheni push the brake, the pedal is real soft, to have a better grip I have to pump it once. so I think it's time to change the brake fluid, I checked the pads and rotor and they are fine.
I'm using for my bike ( Kawasaki ZZR 1200) a mighty vac pump to bleed my brake, and intend to use it for the disco too. now should I start from the front wheel and then go back or which way should I do that ?

Empty out the reservoir first and put fresh fluid in, then start with the r/r then the l/r, r/f then l/front and you are done. It may take up to 2 qts. of fluid to bleed out all the old fluid.

If your barke pedal is that soft, you might want to consider replacing the rubber brake hoses with stanless steel also.
