By unlocked I meant you buy it for d2, if you want to use it on an lr3 you have to purchase and unlock that model
I don't know about buying a module

Ok, got it. So I get it licensed ("unlocked") for Discovery IIs. If I want to add LR3s, then I have to pay to have it unlocked for those.

I have 2 Discovery II. It would be unlocked for all Discovery IIs, or is it licensed by VIN?

Well to take back my post I did have a chance to check out the icarsoft for about 20 minutes this morning and it isn’t a bad little machine for the price.
Just about what an ABS Amigo costs but does so much more for the price.
So if you don’t have a way to read your ABS codes and most OB2 wont, this is something I would invest in rather than buy a devise that only have one purpose.
It fits in the cubby of the console no big bulking machine and it’s always there.
It allows you the check:
The software versions, read, clear and live stream data from any of the ECU’s.
ENGINE, ABS, SRS, CRUISE CONTROL, BCM, TRANSSMISSION, GUAGES, HEATED WINDSHIELD,
LIGHTING, POWER DISTIBUTION, SECURITY, WARNINGS & buzzers, WASHER/WIPERS
IT COVERS MODELS: 1999 on
RANGE ROVER, RANGE ROVER SPORT, RANGE ROVER EVOQUE
Discovery 2, Discovery 3, Discovery 4
Freelander & Defenders
It give you code in clears clear English, not code numbers that can be different depending on where you look them up. It can be updated online for newer models as they come out.
While playing (investigating) I found the xyz switch, which are really 3 switches in one and you can read if each connection is open or closed, so no more guessing if you need a new $600 xyz switch.
I’m sure there is plenty more that it can do but I had limited time.
Don't get me wrong this isn't a nanocom or a Hawkeye, but it isn't in that price range either

Ok, I've read through the thread and I'd (at some point) like to upgrade from my standard no frills OBD2 scanner, or atleast get something to supplement it. If I wanted something that could read ABS faults, bleed brake lines, and program ECU (as in change fuel/air values, rear O2 sensor values, etc. Dunno if any do that.), which one should I get? I don't really care about anything other than those three things.
