Thank you! I looked at the link you gave me and we changed the gaskets there but didn't notice any cracks. I'll do a soap test to double check. Thank you for your input!

 

Thank you for your input! I agree with the sound from a spark plug. I've never had a spark plug go out I guess cause that was not the first or last thing that came to my mind when I heard the exhaust leak and the smelling of gas fumes where I didn't have that before (in my opinion) pretty much confirmed exhaust leak to me. Everyone I told that to seemed to think I was wrong and when everyone else says it's something else I doubted my own instinct and went with them. What frosts my windows is that this should have been fixed pretty quickly but instead my Rover has been parked and I've been without it for way too long as well as spent way more money than it should have cost on things that didn't need fixing, not to mention fixing things that got broke along the way that weren't broke from the start.
