Okay first and foremost, hello all I'm Jordan and am currently located in Hawaii!
I have a 2000 disco 2 and have recently done a bad. I was running some wires through the dash to install a subwoofer for a little extra bass. Install seemed to go fine, however, when going to start the vehicle, it will turn om accessory power but when going to start it, nothing. Everything will just shut off. Now. The previous owners have made this thing a wiring NIGHTMARE. it was converted to a push button start along with whatever else they did. Wires are EVERYWHERE. I'm assuming that when I was running the wires and pulling them through, I pulled a wire that didn't like to be pulled. Has anyone dove into the ignition system of this vehicle and can steer me onto a starting point on wires to look at first? Any help would be appreciated. Also any known fuses that may have just blown that would cause this as well. As said, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Attached are some photos of what the current situation is.

I had that push-button start system for a very short time. It was horrible. One of the main issues is the one you have identified with aux power being flaky. It was also almost impossible to start in colder weather because the button system doesn't have an ignition sensor, it just spins the starter for a set amount of time.
Get yourself a stock key barrel off eBay and lose the push button.
Also, you shouldn't need to be messing around in the dashboard for a sub output. You can pull it from the amplifier under the driver's seat.
